Your registration is completed after payment has been processed. To secure your spot, please complete the invoice as soon as it is received.


CLASS SCHEDULE


TUITION

  • Payment must be completed before or on the 1st day of class.

  • If paying in installments, must set up automatic payments. **If paying in monthly installments, send message to info@getdowndancestudios.com to set up payments.

  • After the 8th of the month, your account will be considered late and a $25 late fee will be applied. Payment must be delivered by the 1st of every month. 

  • If payment has not been received and student does not show up on the first day of class without informing the studio of reason for absence or intent to continue, we will offer student’s spot to the next person on the waitlist. 

ENROLLMENT OPTIONS

  • Tuition can be paid in full or in monthly installments. **If paying in monthly installments, send message to info@getdowndancestudios.com to set up payments.

  • Tuition includes a $35 Annual Registration Fee, charged annually in August. New students are charged ARF the first time attending our studio.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • PAYMENTS - If payment has not been received and student does not show up on the first day of class without informing the studio of reason for absence or intent to continue, we will offer student’s spot to the next person on the waitlist. 

  • PARKING - Free parking lot behind former Kubota restaurant on 5th Street. Street parking is FREE after 6pm

  • DRESS ATTIRE & PERSONAL HYGIENE -

    • Comfortable clothes that you can freely dance in! 

    • Be considerate and wear deodorant

    • If you are taking multiple classes in 1 day, please bring a towel and an extra shirt. For example, if you are taking the house class on Thursdays 7pm, and then beginning salsa on Thursdays at 8pm, MAKE SURE TO BRING A CHANGE OF CLOTHES AND DEODORANT.

    • Wear shoes that you can comfortably move around in. No flip flops. 

    • For salsa classes: 

      • Please wear shoes that are secure on your feet. If anyone wants to buy specific dance shoes for class, you can go to San Jose Dancewear on Race St. and mention The Get Down for a slight discount. We can also recommend where to buy shoes online. *It is not necessary to buy dance shoes.

      • We rotate throughout the class frequently, please be mindful of your partners. It is common to chew gum or have breath mints while dancing.

  • ABSENCES - There are no refunds, exchanges, or credits for missed classes.

    • Students must notify The Get Down prior to the class meeting time if will be absent from class.

  • ILLNESS - If there are any doubts about your health (unusually tired, not hungry, etc.) please STAY HOME to prevent the spread of the illness.

  • PERFORMANCES - We schedule one showcase for the Fall session and one for the Spring session. The showcase is usually after the last day of the session, but specific dates, location and tickets will be determined at a later time. 

    • There may be other opportunities to perform at local community centers, events and festivals. 

  • CANCELLATION - If there is a need to cancel enrollment, we ask for at least a 2 week notice before the start of the new session. We can provide a refund, but will retain either the registration fee or $35 to cover our administrative costs. If they have already started a session, please notify us right away of intent to leave. We would finish the billing for that current month and then cancel the rest of the session.

  • COMMUNICATIONS - The Get Down sends communication solely through email and in-person. Please ensure that email address and contact information are up to date and is checked regularly.
